IMEA is led by Mr. Carl Berry. Mr. Berry is a former Vietnam Veteran that served his country with distinction for more than (24) twenty years in the United States Army. Mr. Berry was fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in technology transformation and advancements in networking while serving in the Armed Forces, with an emphasis on security solutions. While in the Army, Mr. Berry was the proud recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal, which demonstrates both his skill as a leader and his dedication to his country.
Upon retiring from the Army, Mr. Berry continued his service to his country, this time as a Civil Servant. He served the Department of Veteran Affairs for fifteen years, and was the first ever Veteran Integrated Services Network (VISN) Information Security Officer (ISO) appointed by the VA. As a VISN ISO, Mr. Berry not only led security solutions across six (6) major VA facilities and across three states, but took on the responsibility to educate facility ISOs and their alternates, setting a positive security posture in motion for the VA.
After leaving behind almost four decades of service to his country, Mr. Berry continued to support the VA as a consultant for an additional five years. Leveraging his vast security experience and unparalleled DOD and VA experience, he continues until today to provide value and security solutions to the VA. He led all aspects of the recent Homeland Security Presidential Directive – 12 (HSPD-12) Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes for that enterprise wide solution, and achieved Authority to Operate for one of the most complex solutions ever implemented in the history of the VA.
Mr. Berry is a true American Hero, dedicated American citizen, and consummate public servant, and has taken the initiative to provide additional value to his country through the services of IMEA, LLC.
